Node.js development services
Our Node.js development services cover the back end that powers your product: the APIs, business logic and integrations your website, web app or mobile app depends on. As a Node.js web development company, we use JavaScript and TypeScript on both sides of the stack, so your front end and back end speak the same language.
APIs
REST APIs with input validation, authentication and role-based access, designed to serve your web app, mobile app or partners.
Web apps
Full web applications with a Node.js back end and a React front end, built around your workflows.
Real-time features
Live updates, notifications and dashboards that refresh as data changes.
Integrations
Connections to payments, email, calendars, CRMs and other tools with an accessible API. Learn more about our API integrations.
Node.js app development
Looking for a Node.js app development company to build a product, not just an API? We build complete applications with Node.js at the core.
SaaS products
Subscription software with user accounts, roles and admin tools. Multi-company (multi-tenant) SaaS is scoped and priced as a custom project.
Portals
Customer, owner, tenant, vendor or partner portals, each with its own view of the same data and its own permissions.
Dashboards
Operational dashboards and reports that put the numbers your team needs in one place.
Express.js and TypeScript back ends
Most of our Node.js back ends are built on Express.js and TypeScript. Express keeps the API lean and predictable, and TypeScript catches errors before they reach production. Our Express.js development services typically include:
- Typed data access with Prisma ORM on MySQL
- Request validation with Zod, so bad data is rejected at the edge
- Security built in: JWT cookie authentication with CSRF protection, role-based access control and rate limiting
- Automated tests with Vitest and Supertest, plus smoke checks before each release
Hire Node.js developers: how engagement works
When you hire Node.js developers from Syncognify, you get a project team working to a fixed scope and price, not an open-ended timesheet.
1. Tell us what you need
A new API, an app, or work on an existing Node.js codebase. Share your brief, designs or repository access.
2. Review and scope
For existing projects, we start with a codebase review. Then we agree a written scope listing what's included, what isn't, the price and the delivery time.
3. Design
You approve design mockups before development begins.
4. Build in milestones
We develop in milestones with staging access, so you can test real workflows as the system takes shape.
5. Launch and handover
We deploy to your hosting and hand over the code and data, and your 90 days of support begin.
Demo proof: Rentovyn
Rentovyn is a rental and property management platform we built on Node.js to show how we approach multi-role systems. It's a demo project running on fictional, seeded US data, not client work, and no results are claimed.
- Four role-based portals: property manager, owner, tenant and vendor.
- Real workflows: properties and units, tenants and leases, invoicing and payments (demo gateway), maintenance tickets, vendor work orders, generated PDF documents, reminders, and reports such as rent roll, vacancy, delinquency and owner statements.
- AI features: maintenance triage, lease summaries, rent suggestions, late-payment risk flags and a tenant assistant, behind a provider-agnostic AI layer with a mock mode.
- Stack: Node.js 20 + Express, TypeScript, Prisma ORM and MySQL 8, with a React 18 + Vite + Tailwind CSS front end, Zod validation, Vitest + Supertest tests and a 36-check smoke script. It runs on cPanel (Passenger) or any Node host.

Working with US clients
Syncognify is a remote-first team working with clients across the US, as well as the UK, Canada and Australia. Our process is designed so that distance never slows a project down.
- Weekly written updates, and scheduled calls when needed. Every week you get a clear update on what shipped, what's next and any decisions we need from you.
- Staging access at milestones. You review real, working software as we build, not just at the end.
- Async by default. Feedback and decisions are kept in writing, so nothing gets lost between meetings.
- Clear commercials. One-time pricing in USD and a written scope before work begins.
- One team for the whole build. As a Node.js development agency that also designs interfaces and builds automations, we keep the back end, front end and integrations under one roof.
Node.js development company FAQs
How much does it cost to hire Node.js developers?
Node.js development with Syncognify starts from $2,499 for a Business System: up to 5 modules, up to 3 user roles, a reporting dashboard, Excel import, email notifications and 90 days of support. Larger platforms get a custom quote with a written scope and milestone-based payments. Prices are one-time fees in USD; domain, hosting and third-party fees are not included.
How long does a Node.js project take?
A Business System is delivered in 6-8 weeks. Larger platforms follow the timeline set out in their written scope, and work on an existing codebase is scheduled after the code review.
Should I choose Node.js or Laravel?
Both are solid choices for web apps and APIs. Node.js suits teams that want JavaScript and TypeScript across the whole stack and apps with real-time features; Laravel suits teams that prefer PHP and want a mature, all-in-one framework. We'll recommend the best fit during scoping. See our Laravel development page for more.
Do I own the code?
Yes. Project-specific source code, data and credentials are transferred to you under the agreed project terms, so any Node.js developer can maintain and extend the system later.
Where will my Node.js app be hosted?
On hosting you own. Domain and hosting are not included in our packages, so the app goes live on your account. Node.js apps can run on cPanel hosting with Passenger or on any Node host; our Rentovyn demo supports both.
